I recently got an email from the folks over at MaxBlogPress asking me if I had used the Ninja Affiliate plugin for WordPress. The timing was actually perfect, since I have been working on different ways to optimize my traffic on a few of my affiliate sites, and although I have tried several different link cloaking tools over the years, I had yet to use the Ninja Affiliate Plugin.

If you already do, or plan to use WordPress to manage any of your affiliate sites, having the right WordPress Affiliate Plugins is one of the keys to your success! The MBP Ninja Affiliate, is one of those that makes life easy!

After thinking about it for like… less than 5 minutes… I sent Deelip a reply and he sent me a review copy of the plugin, which I promptly installed on one of my to-do-list sites, and started using.

Features of Ninja Affiliate

Ninja Affiliate does a few things VERY WELL, it helps you “Cloak your links”, and it allows you to “Replace words like this with links” (actual plugin in action) When I installed it onto my affiliate site, I was able to take the name of a popular software the site was focused on, and have Ninja Affiliate rewrite the occurrence of the product name into affiliate links a specific number of times on every page of the site. Here’s the kicker… I was able to do this on a 280 page site, the whole site, in less than 5 minutes!

MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate Features:

Easy and Flexible Link Management

Create Professional Looking and Clean Redirect Links

Group Links for Easy Management

Cloak Your Affiliate Links and Hide your Tracking ID’s

Simple and Effective WordPress Editor Integration

Easily Transform Words into Links Sitewide (My Favorite feature)

Easily Control How Many times a Word is Replaced per page.

Status Bar Control (Change the status bar text)

Control Your No-Follow and link Juice Flow!

A HostGator dedicated server is exactly how it sounds. Dedicated to you and only you!
Features of HostGator Dedicated Hosting

Having a HostGator dedicated server will give you and your websites a more robust level of security, speed, and up time. Not only will you will have the resources to go far beyond the limitations most find in a shared hosting environment, but you will be able to grow your business at the pace and level you desire, with no shared resource limitations!

Its not all too often I get excited about a new Link Cloaking tool – I mean, they all pretty much do the same thing right? You put in the link you want to mask, decide on the word you want to use as a reference, and go. Three steps, cut and dry. When I got my copy of Pretty Links Pro, I really figured it was going to be more of the same. I was very wrong!

Sure the features are the same – but the Ease of Use, Tracking Features, and the Text Replacement feature really take this Link Cloaking WordPress Plugin over the top for me! With one tool, I was able to replace three others, and add new links in under 5 seconds!

Pretty Link Pro Features

URL Cloaking – No more long, ugly affiliate links!

Vanity Link Generation – YOU decide what the affiliate link looks like!

Click Tracking – How often have you wondered which links are working? With click tracking, you can split test links to see which convert best, in different areas of your pages!

Simple Management Interface – All availabel from your dashboard!

Quick Link Generation – From your dashboard, you can create a new link in less than 5 seconds and start using it immediately!

Seamless WordPress Integration!

Sitewide Keyword & URL Replacement – This was a key for myself! How many times have you wished you could change every reference of a phrase into a link? Now you can! With just 2 clicks, you can designate phrase replacement!

As many of you are aware, I am not only writing a weekly Review of the ShoeMoney Internet Marketing Guide, I am following along and participating on a new site of my own! Week three came to me 2 days ago, and it actually takes a bit to digest all the info this week!

I added to my main review page… but the one thing that had me stumped this week, was that we are just starting the research phase, 2 weeks AFTER it was recommended we register an LLC and get the legalities out of the way. To me, thats like putting the cart before the horse… I mean, what if we spent hundreds of dollars to make it legit, then found out this week that its not a worthy niche to pursue?

Jeremy – I recommend you pull the legal portion out of week 1, and put it into week 3 or 4, only AFTER the research that dictates its worthiness! (Not that you will read this though…)

Since the Free Guide itself is 12 weeks long, I am going to edit this post weekly, examining the latest weekly installment.

Since Jeremy is considered a leader in the Internet Marketing Industry, I have pretty high expectations from his Free Guide!

What is the ShoeMoneyX Internet Marketing Guide

Have you ever wished you had one place you could go to learn how to turn an idea into a successful method of earning a living online? In Jeremy’s own words…

“Jeremy Schoemaker – ShoeMoney”
I recently decided that there is just too much great information in my book to exclude people from reading it. I have now backed out of my major book deal and turned it into a completely FREE 12 week guide to Internet marketing.

Being a regular reader at Jeremy’s site, I couldn’t resist the call to sign up and learn from a very successful force in the Internet Marketing Business. Since he is offering this free of charge, the worse case scenario… means I have to unsubscribe, or opt out of the email only guide.

Features of the ShoeMoney Guide

Once you sign up for this free Internet Marketing guide, you can expect each of the topics below to be delivered in the form of an easily downloaded and saved pdf document each week.
Week 1 can be summed up in one word… “Introduction”! Personally, I’m not much on reading multi-page introductions, but the way Jeremy started from scratch and actually made it interesting to read, it was well worth the time it took to read the 11 page week 1 guide.

You will learn who Jeremy Schoemaker is, his roots, and how he turned a hobby into a multi-million dollar business! On top of learning about the person behind the guide, you will get a very clear preview of the Internet Marketing Industry so you know what to expect, and whether it’s right for you over the next 11 weeks!

Jeremy answers a series of true or false questions in a very honest and enlightening way, even for those of us who aren’t new to Internet Marketing. At the end of the guide, he provides us with a clear action plan to prepare for the next installment! I hope each week has a plan like this!

If the week 1 guide did nothing else, it left me wanting week 2 to get here quickly!

ShoeMoneyX Week 2 Guide Review – 06/01/09

Having followed along with the Week 1 guide and taking Jeremy’s action plan to heart, I was excited when week 2 popped into my inbox on May 30th! Again this week, you receive the ShoeMoneyX IM Guide in the form of a PDF, which makes it very easy to store and read at your own convenience. Week 2 of the ShoeMoneyX Guide is 18 Pages long.

Week 2 is heavy on learning all about affiliate products, websites and affiliate networks, which is good! Even if you think you know all about networks, terminology and how to work with affiliate managers, the guide takes it a step farther and breaks each word, phrase and term, into definitions and how they apply to you. If you don’t know what “Scrubbing” or “Shaving” mean in affiliate marketing, you need to sign up now!

Around page 13 of this weeks guide, you start getting into the meat and potatoes of Internet Marketing when you start to learn about 6 proven ways to promote your affiliate offers! Jeremy breaks each of the 6 methods down into brief paragraphs with the details of WHY they work so well! There is also a section that covers the reasons for cloaking affiliate links, as well as several methods you can use to do so!

One thing I really like so far, that has been in both weeks, is the “Realities” or “True – False” section, where ShoeMoney answers the hard questions in plain and simple truth.

Week 2′s Action Plan is where we really start getting down to business, and you get the sense that next week… you will start putting the methods into action and possibly making our first affiliate sale!

ShoeMoneyX Week 3 Guide Review – 06/09/09

Week three arrived like clockwork, and as Jeremy recommends in his intro email, I DID actually read it twice! Just like previous versions, it is a pdf, 17 pages long, and contains a very detailed action plan at the end of the guide!

For myself, week 3 really started getting into the meat of internet marketing! This week we start learning about finding our Niche! You start to understand things like competition and keyword research, but you also get a slim picture of what you may possibly earn on your new website! As with previous weeks, there is an abundance of real-world examples and walk throughs to get you up to speed quickly!

I was a bit confused reading this weeks segment, since Jeremy talks quite a bit about researching your niche, when in effect, he recommended in week 1 to go out and register an LLC, and setup your new venture as its own buisiness from day 1. If I had just dropped $200-$400 to have the LLC registered and in week 3, found out that it was not a worthy market to pursue… well, you understand. IMHO, the LLC and legal aspect should come AFTER you know if its worthy or not!

All aside, this weeks guide really gets you primed to make an impact in the coming weeks!

ShoeMoneyX Weeks 4 & 5 Guide Review – 07/01/09

Week 4 came around right on time, and I knew it was going to be a hard week. While I have tried my hand at, and often failed at PPC, I have truly looked forward to this week. To my surprise, week 4 turned out to be more than a single week could handle and Jeremy split it into two parts, Basic PPC Understanding and Strategies (wk 4) and then Advanced PPC Techniques (wk5). For the sake of saving space, I am going to combine the two!

If you don’t have a clue what PPC means (Pay Per Click) week 4 will get you up to speed very quickly! From understanding the various acronyms associated with paid search marketing, to the many different places where you can advertise and walkthroughs of the tools you will find at those sites, week 4 is like a bootcamp of paid Internet marketing!

Jeremy really gets down in to the basics of how to setup campaigns, track their performance and yes… he also gets into the reporting side of it a bit, sharing different examples of measuring success! By the time you are done, the action plan is there to get you even more familiar with everything, since you will be putting it to work in week 5!

Week 5 is where you begin to see it all come together! Jeremy took me through a complete understanding of the science of landing pages! I actually went out and visited a few of my own sites and started experimenting with different page layouts… While I was not driving PPC to one of the sites I made changes to, the conversion rate on an offer increased by more than 500% – just by employing one of his strategies and split testing a few layout changes! (No kidding!!)

A common thread you can expect to see from this point forward… the information Jeremy is sharing is great, but only if you actually use it! Hopefully, you are following along with the weekly action plans, and by now you have a good idea of several methods for putting your ideas into motion!

If you are looking for an alternative to Pop-Ups, or any other way you may be using to get a message right into the eyes of your visitors, Instant SlideUp may just be the perfect answer!

Instant SlideUp is designed to work on any website, by inserting a simple piece of code into the head section of your site or a specific page, like I did on this page. It does not rely on MySQL or any database in the background, and from all I can see, cannot be blocked by pop-up blockers! (Yes, I tried)

I installed this script in less than 5 minutes on one of two other websites to test out the effectiveness and the results surprized even me! On one site, I chose to use a prebuilt opt-in form to increase subscribers and even though the site was only -30 days old, the subscribe rate grew from 3 a day, to 22 a day immediately!

On the second site, I chose to use an offer message instead! Before installing, I had a click through rate of less than 5%, after putting the Instant Slideup into the footer of the site, click-through increased to more than 20%! That’s HUGE, and I paid for the cost of the script within 2 hours of placing it on the site!!

Features of Instant SlideUp

Literally – Installs in 5 Minutes!

Works on ANY Website – No Database Needed!

April was a busy month for all of us who make money online, since it is generally the slowest month for sales in almost all industries!

May is finally here, actually its halfway over as I write this post, and I have a stockpile of reviews of my own to write! My plan is to begin writing again before the end of the week, and try to mix in some other features within the site that will reach into to the learning side of doing things with your websites.

At some point in your website marketing endeavor, you are going to have to align with an Affiliate or Ad Network in order to find Advertisers looking for related websites to promote their products. The PepperJam Network (PJN) has taken the underlying functions of running an Internet Advertising Network to a new level!

From a Publisher / Affiliate standpoint… I can say that PJN has a wide selection of both advertiser offers and site tools, that are bound to work for just about everyone! From eBay listings to CPA to contextual ads… you are bound to find something that just “works” for your own sites!

Features of The PepperJam Network

When Kris Jones decided he was going to create a better choice for both website Publishers and Advertisers, he drew from his own experience, and what he found was lacking in the marketplace. The result, was a very well rounded for everyone, that has since grown into the #1 Affiliate Marketing Network, as measured by Inc 500!

What can you expect to find in The PepperJam Network?

Hundreds of Advertisers, Eager to Partner with Publishers!
One of the things I personally find refreshing, are the sheer number of advertisers in the network! To a Publisher, it means I can fill almost all my needs in one central location, versus having to join many different networks to supply content on multiple websites!

Useful Creative Tools to make Publishing Easier!
PepperJam not only brings in top Advertisers, they provide unique creative tools to make publishing those ads easier! From contextual ads, to banners, and product feeds, they have a very well rounded selection of methods you can use to integrate ads into your content.

Reliable Payment and Communication with Managers
The Pepperjam Network pays its Affiliates every 2 weeks once they reach the payment threshold. For Super Affiliates who generate higher volume through the system, they will work on a one to one basis, and do whatever is needed to make sure the Publisher can focus on whats most important, driving sales, versus having the think about managing his relationship with the network!

There are far too many features of the PJN for us to list in this simple review! I encourage everyone to join the Pepperjam Netowrk and see for yourself!

Pros and Cons of The PepperJam Network

Pros of PJN

Huge Selection of Quality Advertisers!

Large Selection of Creatives to Integrate Ads onto your Site!

TOP Shelf Communication with Affiliate Managers!

Quick and Easy Communication avenues in all popular Social Networks!

Product Data Feeds for those who want to build their own custom Applications!

Simple to use Tracking and Reporting Dashboard!

Several Method for you to Promote Advertisers!

Cons of PJN

Some of the Advertisers require Approval before you can promote their products. This is not however out of the norm.

At some times, I have had trouble locating specific publishers I know are in the network. Fortunately, the answer is only an email or Tweet away!

They represent a growing population of young professionals with a strong understanding of e-commerce and how the internet makes doing business better.
