If you have been looking for an easy and flexible way to populate your WordPress posts (or pages) with eBay Auctions related to your content, the phpBay pro wordpress plugin is your answer! After a 5 minute plugin installation, phpBay works by simply clicking on an extra button within your wordpress editor. As you write your post, you click the new button, add your keywords and the number of results you want to show in your post, and they appear! You have the ability to add the listings ANYWHERE within the content of your post and as many listings as you want!
Having used Build a Niche Store for several years and many sites, I was somewhat skeptical about changing to a new method of tapping into eBay Auction Listings. phpBay Pro was quick to exceed my expectations!
phpBay Pro Features
- Adds eBay Auction listings to your posts and pages easily! Even on existing blogs.
- All auction listings are 100% html content, so you get an instant influx of contextual and targeted content to your site!
- Horizontal or vertical layout of listings.
- Choose from 17 Different Countries in the eBay Auction system.
- Choose to items from a specific category or all categories!
- Ability to GeoTarget listings, based on zip codes. This comes in very handy if you want to add listings to a local City site.
- Unlimited License to use on as many sites as you own!
For a power user like myself, the best features of phpbay pro lie in the ability to very easily modify the way the listings look on my websites. The listings use a built in template system, NO, not a full template, just a very basic template to control the listing portion alone. If you want to rearrange the way the listings look, it only takes a few minutes to customize the listing template and achieve the look you are after.

About the Developers of phpBay
While I do not know Wade personally, I have been in several forum discussions that he partipated in. He is not new to the world of website design or affiliate marketing and phpBay Pro is an example of building the perfect mousetrap, to suit the needs of the community! Wade is always quick to respond to requests for help and the forum he has put together is a great resource for both the phpbay plugin and general web development knowledge as a whole.

I started using phpbay recently and like it a lot more than BANS, which doesn’t perform well in Google these days

@ Justin –
Thanks for the comment man! Good to see you here… I have switched from one to the other, back and forth, over and over again!!
For some sites – I am using 100% bans, others… 100% phpbay. Both have their place, and when done right, BANS does just as good, but it is a bit more work for sure.

Have you used the free Wordbay plugin? How does it compare to phpbay?
thanks

@ Jack –
I have used the WordBay plugin plus a few others on the market. They all definitely have a place…
With WordBay – you use a simple search string to query the eBay search API… and results are based on your search string.
With phpBay, you have the ability at the post level, to target countries, specific sellers, specific categories etc. So it just gives you more control over what appears on each post, versus storewide.

@ Jack,
I, too, have used the WordBay plugin. It was pretty simple to use, and I liked that aspect of it. It’s perfect for when you only plan on adding a few Amazon results to a blog. I do find, though, that it can be picky about what terms are entered, and I can’t always add the medium or large images (I don’t know why this is).
phpBay Pro, on the other hand, is much easier to use if you plan on adding a lot of Amazon results. It is easier to get the Amazon results you want from phpBay Pro (at least, this is true for me).

Now I get what phpBay is! I’ve been struggling with a couple of sites and wondering about switching to WordPress and integrating eBay listings. This article has helped me understand what it is and which websites it will work best with. Thanks Mark and Rochelle!
